Press Release- Checklist-Harmony Pursuit
Andrew Aluise presents Harmony Pursuit, the first of his two senior shows within ArtCenter’s fine art program. This show presents nine of Aluise’s recent works and includes pieces ranging from drawings to sculptures. Center stage in the exhibition is a sculpture that bridges the ceiling and ground through an assisted readymade fountain, Steady Well 2019. Here we see a fire sprinkler dripping water into a pyramid of drinking glasses. The system which combats flames is now weeping into a tower of everyday objects; inspecting true function within the systems ingrained into our lives.
